Abstract:
Workflow and Value Stream Mapping are important factors in realizing the full benefits of an efficient EHR implementation. Even if you choose to outsource this work, your practice will benefit from understanding LEAN concepts as they apply to redesigning workflows and implementing improvements. This session introduces:
- workflows from the patient/customer perspective with value stream mapping
- how to identify and eliminate waste
- a Lean method/format for identifying, implementing and tracking improvements
